Tokyo day by day...

I'm glad I was able to spend one year in Tokyo cause I could get close with a side of this city that ordinary tourists can't notice.  Being too busy running through Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ginza, Akihabara, Ueno and, probably, spending a day in Tokyo Disney (in my opinion it's wasting money and time... especially money >_>), the 10 days tourists don't have the chance to discover the calm and relaxing life of the suburbs.
In these months I could experience the everyday life of a small neighborhood in Tokyo, which is actually like living in a small town, and I could learn that the most lovely people here are the Ojiichan and the Obaachan (the elderly). I can't get exactly what is wrong with the younger generation but the old japanese are... pure love   (ી(΄◞ิ౪◟ิ‵)ʃ)♥

Especially during Spring and Summer it's easy to run into some small matsuri (local festival). Each neighborhood has its own matsuri and it's a nice chance to get together with your neighbors. As I said the old people will be prone to talk with you. On the contrary, and I'm talking about my personal experience (aka the experience of a 2X years old girl not too cute and not too ugly), the young girls will avoid you and the young guys will be to shy too talk to you... although they are drunk (which usually it's what makes a japanese pretty talkative).

The night before the matsuri

...Well... It's love

A material girl in Tokyo ♥

... aka my personal guide to shopping in Tokyo.

Today I'm going to show you my favorite second hand shops in Harajuku. No. Not in Takeshita Dori. If you are older than 18 I suggest you to avoid it, cross the road and enjoy the most interesting side of this lovely neighborhood where you can find lots of vintage and second hand shops.
These are the places I like the most.

 ... and Chicago...

I love the interior design and the atmosphere of Flamingo even though I prefer Chicago since it matches my style perfectly. In particular I recommend Flamingo if you are looking for long tartan skirts and shirts (they have lots of cheap Ralph Lauren shirts in many different colors ♥).
I suggest you to take a look at Chicago if you are looking for a Burberry trench coat, an Alpha bomber or some champion and nike sweatshirts . By the way, considering the fact they are pretty close, if you are into second hand shopping and so on, you should visit both.
Take care of your wallet.

Lots of love.

ラブラブ...ホテル ♥

When you and your boyfriend live with other nine flatmates and both of you share the room with other two or tree people the privacy doesn't exist.
The chances to have some time to spend together are less than zero and that's why I'm glad to live in the most famous love hotel area in Tokyo.
Tourists ignore the existence of Uguisudani but for people who live in Tokyo it's a well known place.
From the train station what you can see are just dozens of love hotels... I guess they are about 50.
The love hotel area looks like a little neighborhood.
Street are made just by hotels, hotels and hotels.

Love hotels are pretty easy to recognize.
The cost it's written outside and you can choose to stay or just "rest" for a couple of hours.

Before getting in you also can take a look at the rooms...

...and for sure the outside is pretty sober ...

Feeling like being in Naples

After choosing your hotel you have to choose your room.
Obviously some of them are taken already. Especially during the weekend it's hard to find a decent room at a decent price because of all those salaryman ready to get drunk and cheat on their wives with some younger coworkers or prostitutes.

Only the bright rooms are available
Ones you chose your room you are ready to get in.
And now I have to reveal to all of you something really sad.
Love hotels are not crazy places with crazy stuff and everything you are used to think (ok maybe just 5% of them but they are really expensive and japanese people don't go in those kind of hotels).
The rooms are just...

...with some extra mirrors and and kitsch fornitures...
Comparing to normal hotels the extra are just a default background music (and if you forget to turn it off you could have sex with the soundtrack of Mary Poppins or The Godfather... as it happened to me...) , some pamphlets through which you can order some sex toys or require prostitutes and some condoms or a condoms vending machine.

To be honest me and my boyfriend go there basically to stay away from our flatmates and finally be able to watch some  movies without other people around who decide to join us without any invite ♥

Ready to watch Mononoke Hime
... and obviously to do the rest too. the way if you have a partner and some extra money I suggest you to spend a night in a love hotel. It's a nice experience being in a building in which everyone is doing the same thing at the same time. And remember... the walls are not so thick ♥

Fatness, Sailor Moon, Hologram and so on...

I'm fat.
In 6 months I got 8 Kilograms.
It's summer, it's freaking hot and I wish I could wear shorts, crop tops and miniskirts. But hey! Guess what? I can't. 。・゚゚・(>д<)・゚゚・。
All my "old "(bought 3 or 4 month ago) skirts became too small and I needed to buy new clothes to hide my big butt.
I did some shopping. Again.
But I swear I didn't mean doing it. Not this time.
It's not even exactly what I would like to wear but, considered my body, I had no choice. ç_ç
But one day, It's a promise, I'll be exactly like her.

In the name of the Moon I will punish you!
Every girl should have a cheerleader uniform.
Flamingo & Palms

The only things I really wanted to buy this month where sandal and bags and thanks to WEGO and Spinns I could find them at a really cheap price.

Hologram <3
...and also these... to motivate myself to study hard.

I know It will be a failure but I didn't buy Sailor Moon notes for ages( I guess last time was when I was six). I had to do it.
... and some pastel nail polish. To motivate me to make my nails grow and stop biting them...

This is actually working pretty good.
From today I'm on diet.

Don't trust to people who say It's impossible to find mozzarella cheese and olive oil in Japan. U_U
Sayonara daily midnight walk to the nearest kombini.
I know I could fail if I just think of my health. But if It's for clothes.... Yes. I can.

I feel like I'm not a "baka gaijin" anymore ♥

If you live in Tokyo, you are a girl and you are less than 30 you MUST wear circle lenses.
So... It's happened.
After 9 months in Japan I did it.
I bought them, tried to put them in for about 30 minutes (with my bf and one of my flatmate by my side trying to give me instructions), watched several tutorial videos on You Tube, almost gave up, got hysterical and so on...
But finally I'M JAPANESE.

I like them cause they look pretty natural.
Not weird colors, no flashy effect, no an horrible black and thick outline.
That's why I've already decided that the next step will be this!

And now I can go to eat ramen like there is no tomorrow.
Have a lovely day ♥
